Nola’s Deweezy Skatepark

In conjunction with GLU Agency, Mtn Dew, Make It Right Foundation, California Skateparks, and Lil Wayne, dc3 introduces TRUKSTOP, the first public skatepark located in New Orleans. The skatepark was built in the Lower 9th Ward, considered as Hurricane Katrina’s “Ground Zero.” dc3 was responsible for creating all the branded artwork, marketing collateral, and identity for the skatepark as part of the 2012 Deweezy campaign. The project is an example of a new kind of corporate responsibility, one that recognizes a company’s vitality can be reflected beyond its bottom line, and creates an authentic connection to the culture through enrichment of a community.
